Role description
We are looking for an experienced Versonix Seaware Support Engineer to provide long-term remote technical support for an established European Managed Service Provider. The role is fully remote and suited to an experienced engineer who can independently investigate production issues, support existing systems, and collaborate with the technical teams and customers.
The engagement focuses on supporting and maintaining a business-critical cruise and ferry reservation platform based on the Versonix Seaware solution. The environment combines a legacy Delphi-based core with modernized Java services and Oracle databases, requiring someone comfortable working across both established and modern technology stacks.

Work arrangement: 30 to 50 hours per week
Compensation range: €25 to €35 per hour
Responsibilities
Act as the L2 technical escalation point for production incidents, service outages, API failures, performance issues, and failed batch/integration jobs.
Investigate application issues using logs, stack traces, configuration files, and service behavior to identify root causes.
Support deployments, service restarts, configuration changes, and post-change validation.
Assist with release and hotfix planning, including pre-checks, backout planning, and post-change validation.
Prepare clear technical evidence and root-cause findings for vendor escalation.
Main Requirements
Previous experience with cruise, ferry, travel, reservation, booking, or ticketing systems.
Experience with Delphi and Object Pascal, particularly in legacy enterprise systems or Windows services.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Java/Tomcat applications, including JVM behavior, heap/memory issues, and REST/SOAP APIs.
Solid experience supporting Windows Server environments, including Windows services and application behavior.
Proven experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Ability to analyze application logs, Java/Tomcat logs, stack traces, configuration files, and service behavior to identify technical issues.
Experience supporting deployments, restarts, configuration changes, and production releases/hotfixes.

Other Requirements
Comfortable working independently as an L2 escalation point in a remote support environment.
Willingness to work with legacy enterprise applications and investigate issues beyond the immediate application layer.
Fluent English
