New website, new Metheion

We have re-branded, refined our offer, and launched a new Metheion website!

The goal was simple: make it much easier for everybody to understand what we do, the technical expertise we cover, how our technical recruiting works, and what it costs.

Built for deep-tech focus

Metheion now operates across 24 deep tech expertise sectors, including Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace, Energy, Energy Storage, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Engineering, Automotive, Nuclear, Robotics, and Industrial Control. We cover technical recruiting in 242 specialized technical disciplines across these expertise sectors.

Why does such a detailed level of technical differentiation matter?

Because technical hiring rarely comes down to finding someone with the right job title or the right keywords on their CV.

Take battery engineering. A Battery Engineer working on lithium-ion cell development and a Battery Engineer working on BESS systems can have significant overlap in their experience, terminology, and CV keywords. But the technical problems they solve, the systems they work with, and the expertise required for the role can be very different.

The ability to distinguish between closely related disciplines matters.

The same applies to transferable experience. The best candidate does not always come from the exact same application, technology, or job title. What matters is whether their technical background provides the breadth of knowledge, problem-solving ability, and engineering judgment to tackle the challenges unique to the role.

That is why we focus on understanding what a person has actually worked on and what skills they can bring to the team, rather than simply matching role titles and keywords to a job description.

Metheion Elite Technical Recruiting offer

Our new website puts our Elite Technical Recruiting service in the spotlight, highlighting its unique value in evaluating technical talent.

Traditional tech recruiting often starts with a pool of CVs and ends with a shortlist of candidates based solely on the information presented in those CVs.

Keyword matching is particularly weak in technical recruiting. Two candidates can have almost identical keywords on their CVs while having very different levels of practical expertise. At the same time, a strong candidate may have highly transferable experience without ever using the exact terminology in the job description.

We are building a different approach to tech hiring.

Technical hiring should not be a CV writing contest. In Elite Technical Recruiting, we evaluate engineers against the actual technical requirements of the role, product, and technology stack. The process includes a tailored technical interview, followed by a written technical evaluation report that includes feedback from a technical expert.

This gives our clients a much clearer view of a candidate's actual technical capabilities, relevant experience, and ability to apply their knowledge to the problems the role requires them to solve before the hiring decision is made.

With Elite Technical Recruiting, our objective is to identify engineers who are the right technical fit and to reduce the number of candidates a technical team needs to interview to find a solid engineering match.

Case Studies: Technical Recruiting in practice

We have also added Case Studies to the new website to show how this approach works in real technical hiring situations.

Rather than simply saying that we understand deep tech, the case studies show the technical requirements behind specific searches, the type of expertise we look for, and how we assess candidates against the actual needs of the role and the client.

With Case Studies, we want potential clients to see that our approach is not just a concept and that it has been used to solve real technical hiring problems. We want to showcase the level of technical detail that went into closing each role by showing our approach to understanding the product, search strategy, the specific profiles we targeted, and clear outcomes for the client.

Clear pricing

We also wanted to remove one of the least transparent parts of recruitment: pricing. The new website clearly explains our recruitment fees and what is included in each offer.

The hiring market moves fast. When a company needs an engineer quickly, the candidate search should start promptly.

We believe clients should not have to spend time on lengthy calls with a business development lead just to understand pricing and the terms of a recruitment engagement. So we put the essential information, including our pricing and service structure, directly on the website.

Our searches start without any upfront recruitment fee because we believe recruitment should be success-based. Our interests align with the client's interests: we both succeed when the right person is hired.

New Jobs Portal

We also built a dedicated jobs portal for technical professionals.

Candidates can browse open opportunities across deep tech sectors and apply directly through Metheion now, rather than on LinkedIn.

We have deliberately made the application process simple and similar to LinkedIn's EasyApply.

Apply with just a CV. No retyping your information. No lengthy forms. No cover letters.

The goal is to make it easy for engineers to discover relevant opportunities and put themselves forward without adding any extra hustle to the application process.

Technical expertise, not just CVs

At Metheion, we specifically focus on niche technical and engineering talent in deep tech.

Knowing that a candidate has worked in a specific field is not enough. It is the technical context that matters.

A conventional recruitment agency would jump to forwarding a CV right after identifying similar keywords, sector, or previous industry experience. We go further by looking at what technology the person actually worked on, what technical problems they worked to solve, and whether that experience translates to the challenges of the role we are hiring for.

That technical understanding is what allows us to look beyond job titles and surface candidates whose experience genuinely matches the role.

The new website brings all of that into one place: our areas of expertise, how we recruit, what it costs, our case studies, and a platform for candidates to find our latest deep-tech opportunities.
